The game's played in chat or on livejournal, anywhere you hang out with fellow fen online, and it's perfectly simple. You just print out a card, choose an archive, and pull up fics at random. As you read, every time you see a fandom convention/cliche listed on your card, mark off the square, and the first one to get five in a row wins a mutually-agreed-upon forfeit from her fellow players. Be sure to keep track of the fics you read so you can prove your victory, and do try to keep to fics you haven't already read. Nobody likes a cheater, you know.
Also, please note that just because you've written a fic that contains these elements, it does not mean I don't think it's good--and I've written some of them myself, okay? No, really, fandom cliches in the right hands are a delight to read, man.
More cards to come, maybe, and, you know, possibly the flamewar version and the badfic version. Oh, you know you want them.

I love this! I remember hearing about the concept of fandom bingo, but I don't remember ever seeing a finished product. This is comprehensive, but, yes, I DO want the badfic and flamewar versions, too. Also, I'd want "Sees white sparks behind eyes when prostate is stimulated for the first time EVAR" but I don't imagine it'd fit into a square.
This is Laurel, by the way. I had no idea this account would come in handy for anything but fumbling around with not-user-friendly controls and enraging myself! :D
